Located in Nome, Alaska, Katirvik Cultural Center in Nome, Alaska is a museum showcasing four themes representing the culture of Inupiaq, Central Yupik, and St. Lawrence Island peoples. The Center engages and serves its community as a place where Indigenous elders and youth can come together and share in their unique culture. As project lead for ngx, we worked with Aldrich Pears and Associates to conceptualize, design, and install interactive digital exhibits designed to showcase their growing digital collection, community oral histories, and so the community can continue to add to the story for generations to come.
