“Writing Wrongs” Virtual Museum of Canada Exhibit
Nikkei National Museum

The Writing Wrongs project was inspired by the research discovery of 300+ historic letters of appeal written by interned Japanese-Canadians to government authorities during the Second World War. Taken together, the letters form a visceral voice from our past, speaking to the extreme injustice visited upon a marginalized people, evoking the helplessness of human displacement and drawing inevitable connections to the displacement crises of our time.
The Virtual exhibit features original artwork, a trove of archival materials, curriculum-based learning materials, and offers an interpretive journey that traces and sheds light on the generational impact of internment in Canada and beyond.
Led the ngx production team in concept development, experience design, and setting the interactive interpretive framework.
